The School of Law expects to have an opening for a Tenure-track Position available, beginning in the 2010 - '11 Academic Year. Duties include teaching in the area of Intellectual Property and other areas, as needed by the Law School; engaging in productive research, scholarship and publication in the area of Intellectual Property and other appropriate areas; and, engaging in professional service to the Law School, the profession, the University and the community.
A J.D. or equivalent degree (e.g., Ph.D. -- Legal Historian or Foreign Law Degree) required. We also require demonstrated experience and expertise in Intellectual Property, the ability to teach, communicate effectively and challenge students to learn; commitment to successful scholarship; and, the ability to engage in significant scholarly research and publication (previous scholarly publication preferred), as well as commitment to and ability to add diversity to the Law School. Commitment to professional service and involvement in relevant professional or service organizations, is also preferred.
