The School of Law expects to have an opening for a Clinical Teaching Position available, beginning in the 2010 - '11 Academic Year. Duties include practicing and teaching in a law school clinic setting, engaging in professional service to the Law School, the profession, the University and the community; and, engaging in scholarly publication, appropriate to a law school clinic position.
A J.D. or equivalent degree (e.g., Ph.D. -- Legal Historian or Foreign Law Degree) required. We also require that the successful applicant be licensed to practice Law in Ohio (or otherwise have the ability to practice, as needed for the clinic) and have practical experience in areas appropriate to a law school clinic; excellent communication and practice skills; the ability to teach effectively in a clinic setting and in the classroom; a commitment to and ability to add diversity to the School of Law; and, interest in and the ability to engage in significant scholarly publication (previous scholarly publication preferred). Commitment to professional service and involvement in relevant professional or service organizations, is also preferred.
