DEAN, SCHOOL OF LAW
The University seeks to make an appointment to the role of Dean, School of Law, seeking an exceptional candidate capable of leading and executing the vision of the School of Law. Applications are invited from established scholars with interests in any area of law and a demonstrable and distinguished research profile. The Dean will be a high calibre and experienced academic leader, with strong evidence of strategic vision, motivational leadership and an ability to foster innovative and novel ideas will be essential.
Established as a Faculty in 1849, the School of Law at UCC is a modern academic unit with committed, research active staff and a range of law programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Consistently ranked in the Top 150 Law Schools globally (Source: QS Rankings by Subject 2017), the School of Law is based in Áras na Laoi on the beautiful UCC campus in a building with teaching and meeting rooms, including a Moot Court room, dedicated space for researchers and research students and social space. Its library facilities are based in the University’s Boole library.

Appointment may be made on the Professor (Scale B) Salary Scale which is a six-point scale ranging from €111,196 to €144,187.
In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
