Job description: Work Area: Legal Sciences
Project overview: The work to be developed will focus on the preparation of contractual drafts, definition and negotiation of contractual conditions, monitoring the flow of information with external entities (e.g. Courts, Funding Bodies and Auditors), in order to ensure compliance with the institution's legal obligations, as well as the preparation of internal legal opinions. The work will involve the permanent need to update knowledge in order to guarantee the best and most adequate application of the national, European and international legal framework regarding Research Institutions to the organisation in all its aspects, from institutional to contractual activity.
Objectives: Should be able to support the institution in its activity, namely in the negotiation of contractual terms with national and international entities subject to different legal regimes, in the resolution of institutional problems of a civil nature, such as participation in companies and other entities, or creation of spin-offs, taking into account the legal framework of a research institution in Portugal, as well as legal support in the scope of R&D projects and national and international funded projects. Given the hybrid nature of the Organisation, it should also be prepared toanswer basic questions of Public Law, taking into account the legal framework of the Institution, ensuring a good articulation between both areas.
Academic Qualifications: Degree in Law and/or Master's Degree
Minimum profile required: Law Degree or Master's Degree in Law, specialising in the private contractual area, namely in the areas of contract law and/or commercial law; excellent oral and written expression in Portuguese and English; good
knowledge of Office; good organisation and planning skills; good communication and accuracy skills.
Preference factors: 1) Specific training and/or professional experience in Contract Law; 2) Experience in legal support to research institutions or companies; 3) training or fluency in legal English.

The hiring shall be governed by what is stipulated in the legislation in force regarding fixed-term employment contracts and by INESC TEC norms.
