DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF LAW
The University of Cincinnati invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Law. Responsible for overseeing education within the college, we are seeking a Dean whose vision will build upon the College of Law’s history and tradition of educating and inspiring leaders who pursue justice and advance the role of law in society. As the intellectual and administrative leader of the law school, the next Dean will play a key role in developing new ideas and forging consensus among stakeholders to build upon current and past successes and further strengthen the College in a changing legal market.
The Dean is accountable for promoting scholarly and creative excellence; monitoring and securing financial resources and budgets; enhancing revenue, especially by engaging in private fundraising; strategic and operational planning; program review and enhancement; governmental, University and campus compliance; and all personnel matters, including management of promotion and tenure processes. Applicants should have a record as an accomplished scholar or noted contributor to the profession, possessing at minimum a J.D. or equivalent satisfying the requirements for appointment to the College of Law; and administrative experience, preferably at a major research institution similar to the University.
