Position Overview
The School of Law invites qualified scholars and professionals to submit online applications to the lecturer pool to be considered for part-time and/or full-time, temporary and/or regular teaching positions. Positions vary and are dependent upon the need for instructors, if any, for courses being offered each semester. These are non-tenure-track members of the faculty whose primary role is instructional.
The successful applicant must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
Job Description
65% Provide classroom instruction throughout semester.
30% Develop course materials, including text book selection/acquisition and syllabus preparation, evaluate student work, and administer and grade assignments and exams.
5% Provide office hours and/or other means to effectively communicate and/or meet with students as needed.
Note – positions hired at .50 FTE or higher regular appointments may be required to perform a small percentage of service as arranged with the Dean.
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or its foreign equivalent.
Minimum five years post J.D. expertise in the subject matter of course being taught as demonstrated in resume.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience at the law school level, particularly in the subject matter of the course(s) being taught.
